spring snow freezes blossoms
today’s morning sickness is more severe
I am out of place like this spring snow
I shiver and pull the zip right up on my denim jacket
so my breast is squeezed

I take two trains and find myself
on the platform at an unfamiliar station
I will use the usual false name
at the surgery hidden in the alley

I have a business-like conversation
with a middle-aged female doctor
