march 11th.
since then everything has changed.
before that we were innocent and lived
as if nuclear power stations would never have accidents.
the rumble, the roar, escaping steam, the explosion.
how far does the radiation spread?

plutonium reigns for a thousand ages
until small pebbles are forged into
huge rocks and moss grows over them all

(these lines are based on the Japanese national anthem)

once upon a time
there was a country called Japan
the mountains and the sea were beautiful there
one day there was an earthquake
and a nuclear power station exploded
the leaders said "don't worry, we will not be affected".
the TV said the same.
so the children played outside.
